Charlotte Willians gains British Showjumping 3 Star Award
Charlotte has been training with Maria since November last year and has made an amazing recovery from a serious fall in September 2015 which left her with two broken vertebrae. With the use of the Arc Equine machine and weekly training with Maria, Charlotte is now back on track and competing again. Charlotte recently completed the third part of the Naf award which gives riders a structured training programme, whatever their level of competition. Riders are supplied with a book outlining all the criteria; this is then signed off by an accredited coach as each step is completed.
Although Charlotte has ridden at 1.30m level she has been surprised by how her confidence and technique have improved. “ Working through the 3 levels of the Naf award has not only helped me appreciate the benefit of really good flatwork and pole work to make my horses more rideable in the ring but Maria has used the programme really efficiently to help me unlock some deep seated negatives in my mental preparation and taught me some new ringcraft skills. It has really boosted my confidence and enthusiasm for the sport"
